INTERNET MARKETING
Let's face it ... there is no reason to have a website at all if no one is ever going to see it.  To that point, here are numerous reasons to be online, and countless audiences to capture.  We don't assume that every one of our clients require ranking highly on the major Search Engines, but we do assume that all clients want their customers and associates to be able to find them (there are rare cases where this is not true), even if its just a simple Google search of their company or association name.

We thought it wise to break marketing online into several buckets and describe them:

    Search Engine Optimization [SEO]
Quite a bit goes into this huge, endless grouping of tasks called SEO.  Basically, we work towards helping the client's website to rank and rate higher to specific keyword searches on the search engines.  A great deal of speculation amongst industry "experts" lends only a sliver of real, tactile anecdotes to the most common problems.  In order to be effective, we have to actually witness the rankings of the competing sites (as said, for any given keyword search...).  Then, we have to watch results upon tweaking the elements that contribute to the way the search engines gauge the client's relevancy to those searches.  At the end of it all, it comes down to basics (that are spelled out by Google, Yahoo, MSN, ....), but that doesn't mean there is always a simple solution to an optimization problem.
    Search Engine Marketing [SEM]
SEM is the general term we use for Paid Advertising on the Search Engines, industry directories, yellow pages (Superpages), and any number of other Search mechanisms.
    Email Marketing
Targeting clients can get very complex.  Some of the best questions to ask when considering a high-end Email campaign:  Who is legitimately interested in your products and/or services?  How can you get to them efficiently with your message?  How will you measure success?  What SPAM problems might arise?  What sources (and methods...) will be the best to build a strong Email list (of potential clients)?
    Affiliate Marketing
Though Affiliate Marketing may not be for everyone, this may be another great way to target customers.  The goal is to find places where your potential customers go regularly and entice them to click on your banner ads for a fee.  Industry journals, online magazines, educational, and institutional websites may offer affiliate relationships that could be great places to market your products effectively.
