An interesting start-up website solutions that is a new play on showing and selling mattresses.  Though we consider parts of this business a brick-and-mortar operation (they hold inventory, employ delivery and operations personnel, and have a hands-on way of doing business...), they also have characteristics of a pure-play internet solution (it is marketed and sold almost solely through online methods).

We were excited to work with Sleep Squad because of their creative internet product ... allowing clients to choose a mattress, as well as the actual day/time in which the mattress would be delivered, to be done online, as if making an appointment.  The client can actually see a real calendar schedule, choose a time for delivery, and then remove that timeslot from the schedule, reserving it for their own.  Then, the customer is prompted to choose the mattress products they are most interested in "seeing" ... which constitutes an actual 'Test Rest' on the mattress inside the "Mobile Mattress Showroom", delivered by Sleep Squad's personal shoppers.

One of the largest problems anyone has shopping for a mattress is with selection.  The website is specially designed to help in all ways, and even incorporates a wizard of sorts ... a 'Mattress Finder' which uses AJAX to provide an online survey, which, in turn, is integrated to the Ecommerce-like function, allowing three (3) mattresses to be chosen and put into the "Your Selections" Cart.

Another functional component was a module built to allow zip codes to be segregated, because Sleep Squad only delivers to particular zip codes (with exception).
