Case Study: InPro Corporation
An intelligent way to assist a complex buying process.
The Challenge
InPro Corporation, the leader in protective building decor products often found
in healthcare, hospitality and education type facilities, has a very diverse and
robust product inventory. It also was maintaining two separate websites: a marketing
website as well as an ecommerce website. These websites needed to be merged into
one while preserving SEO (Search Engine Optimization) quality. Additionally, the
ecommerce portion of the new site needed integration with InPro's ERP (Enterprise
Resource Planning system), Macola.
The Solution
BlueBolt redesigned and developed the new joint website with back-end integration
to the Macola ERP and created several sophisticated wizards to help clients with
an intrinsically complex buying process. One of the wizards is an AJAX-enabled product
configurator that populates options based on previous selections instantaneously.
The other is an AJAX-enabled Request for Information selector that loads swatches
and samples right into a modal pop-up window, letting clients efficiently select
the samples and documentation they are interested in.
BlueBolt was also able to combine the corporate and ecommerce sites into one while
preserving SEO quality with extensive redirect functionality, in line with SEO best
practices.
Lastly, BlueBolt set InPro up with the Constellation CMS to easily manage products
and their related documentation. The InPro marketing team is able to upload documentation,
add the corresponding tag, and have it dynamically appear on the product page without
any further management.
The Results
The merger of the two sites allows clients to get all of the information they need
in one site. Through BlueBolt's SEO tactics, clients were still able to find the
new InPro Corporation website through the same search terms and page rank was not
affected.
Additionally, the client experience was further improved with the sophisticated
Request for Information wizard, Product Selection wizard and product specifications
being tied to the actual product page. Product information is now easily accessible
for clients, increasing conversions and customer loyalty.
InPro Corporation is saving time and money on website management with the advanced
Constellation CMS. The InPro team can easily add content and products and dynamically
link them to each other with little-to-no technical knowledge.
