Building a user-friendly mobile website.
InPro Corporation, the leader in protective building decor products, has seen growth in mobile traffic to their website of more than 5% in the past 12 months. With this mobile growth, InPro required the development of a mobile website.
The mobile website needed to be able to detect the type of device being used to access inprocorp.com and then automatically serve the user with the correct website (mobile or full screen).
InPro also required that, with the development of the new mobile website, users be able to access both the mobile and full site via one password, making user-friendly experience a high priority.
When users access inprocorp.com they are immediately directed to the mobile or full screen website based on the type of device they are using. This technique provides users with the ease of remembering one URL: inprocorp.com.
Users also are now able to access personal and sensitive account information on the mobile and full website via a single password.
Additionally, BlueBolt was able to create an “app”-like feel with enlarged menu items and product browsing capabilities. Making the website mobile-friendly in this way will improve the user experience for existing and future customers alike.
To ensure simplicity from an administrative standpoint, BlueBolt's mobile design is able to capture the information from the website and serve it to the mobile site, so the website administrator is only required to make changes to the regular website and the mobile website will update automatically. This streamlined process will save InPro Corporation immense amounts of time and money down the road.
The mobile website launched on May 16th, 2012. InPro Corporation is expecting exponential growth in mobile traffic. InPro predicts that more than 50% of traffic to their website will be from mobile users by 2014.
