Music Direct, the online music superstore, was looking to upgrade to a more robust
ecommerce CMS (Content Management System). The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning
System) that contained all of their product, inventory and customer data was only
created to integrate with their former, limited ecommerce CMS. They needed BlueBolt
to somehow get this closed ERP data to integrate to a new, more powerful ecommerce
BlueBolt restructured and developed an ecommerce website for Music Direct and was
able to fully integrate and sync the necessary ERP data, regardless of the ERP's
limitations. BlueBolt also included sophisticated product sliders on multiple pages
to showcase various product groupings, as well as customized predictive search,
shipping and coupon options.
The results include a powerful interface for Music Direct's marketing team to manage
its online store and an website that is always up-to-date. Additionally, customers
receive an enhanced user experience where they can find what they want (and what
they might not know they want) and check out with ease.
