 Your company needs a blog.

There is no doubt that your business will benefit from having a company blog. According to HubSpot, 92% of companies who blog multiple times per day have acquired a customer from their blog and 81% of businesses reported that their company blog is useful-to-critical for their business. Want to land more clients? According to these numbers, blogging works!

Why your company needs a blog:

1. Increased content volume + useful information = better SEO. Your marketing team better be busy creating content and making your website more SEO friendly. Useful, relevant content will help your page rank higher in search engines. For more SEO tips read: 5 Concepts to Consider for SEO.

Provide your clients with useful information, for free. Potential customers and clients you’ve already landed will visit your website for news and updates regarding your company. If they find valuable information each time they come to your site, they will keep coming back. Think like your customer - what kind of tips and tools will they find useful that you are willing to share with them at no cost? It is important to market your business as one that cares about its customers - what better way to show people you care than by providing them with free tips? Here at BlueBolt our developers often blog solutions to issues they are encountering with software. Here is an example from Aris Labros: Solution to DNN 6 Overlap Issue.

2. Demonstrate that your business is an industry leader.

Knowledge is power, so showcase it! You and your employees know a lot about your industry..write about it and show your clients that you are well-versed on the ins and outs of your business. If some of the information you blog about is over the head of your clients, that is OK - it demonstrates a handle on all things related to your industry and the need for the visitor to seek your expertise.

Example: Building a DotNetNuke (DNN) Module via PackFlash.com. Although our clients may not be able to build their own DotNetNuke module, other members of the DotNetNuke (DNN) community will find this information valuable and it demonstrates our expertise.

3. Blogging creates a clear path for direct client interaction online.

For your blog posts, encourage your audience to respond and leave comments. A blog opens up the opportunity for customers to have a voice about your products/services and gives your business the opportunity to interact with them directly. People love knowing that their voice has been heard.

As the newest member of the marketing team here at BlueBolt, I have been assigned the task of creating useful content for our website and our clients. Blogging is a simple way of doing this.

Remember that your employees and co-workers are probably working on awesome projects - why not let them talk about what they’re doing? If your employees don’t like to write, have them give a quick outline of their project to a member of your marketing department and let them write a blog post for them.

Post a link to your company blog below and let's take a look at it!
