Episerver maintains another year leadership in Web Content Management market with another honor from Gartner. 

As an Episerver partner, BlueBolt is thrilled to announce that Episerver was ranked as a leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management for the 3rd year in a row. They were also ranked 4th overall of the 18 important Web Content Management vendors evaluated for 2017.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant represents annual research and comprehensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of organizations in any chosen category that have a minimum of $15 Million in revenue with the Web Content Management marketplace. Gartner's summary of the Web Content Management market specifies "Web content management now constitutes mission-critical software to help drive successful communications with customers. Application leaders focused on enabling effective digital experiences should use this document to help them in selecting the most appropriate vendor and solution." 

Areas of evaluation for vendors such as Episerver in Web Content Management include the completeness of the vision and the ability to execute from an operations perspective. The vendors are then put on a chart/grid to show Leaders, Challengers, Visionairies, and Niche Players. The ability to execute include factors such as specific product or service functions (design, content modeling, web analytics, etc.), overall viability, sales execution and pricing, market responsiveness/track record, marketing execution, as well as customer experience. In addition, the completeness of vision criteria includes market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering (product) strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation, and geography strategy. Episerver was named as a Leader for the first time in the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant.

The 2017 Gartner Report showcases some important areas for Episerver. Those areas include acclaim for the following:

  • The strength of its overall Digital Experience Cloud platform, including its digital commerce capability
  • Well-timed and executed acquisitions such as the August 2016 purchase of Peerius. That acquisition is influencing multiple portions of the product set including Episerver Find (Enterprise Search), Episerver Perform, and Episerver Reach as well as additional other main areas of the product set.
  • It's ability to retain the Ektron install base and convert these clients to new solutions within the Episerver product family.
  • Episerver is leading the charge on enabling and encouraging the continual shift and use of the cloud versus the overall WCM providers. Episerver Digital Experience Cloud helps clients run their business and technical environments in the cloud with it's PaaS (Platform as a Service) solution approach.
