With a growing membership of over 13,000 infectious disease physicians and scientists, IDSA recognizes the need for a modern, intuitive, and data-driven digital ecosystem that keeps pace with global health challenges and opportunities.
In a world transformed by global health crises and digital revolution, there is no standing still. That is why the IDSA, the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA), and the IDSA Foundation worked with BlueBolt on a massive transformation of their digital presence to reflect the forward momentum and mission-focused work every day.
Since their inception, these three connected groups have led the fight against infectious disease science, care, and advocacy. Now, they are looking inward, investing collectively in reimagining how they interact with members, supporters, and the public at large at each digital touchpoint.
BlueBolt kicked off with an in-depth discovery process, bringing together stakeholders from each organization. Through collaborative workshops, stakeholder interviews, and content audits, we mapped out current pain points, user needs, and future aspirations.
We reimagined the architecture across all three sites, focusing on simplicity, clarity, and a streamlined user journey. The design team infused each site with modern, bold visuals—while preserving the individuality of each brand.
The backend was restructured for better content governance, allowing editorial teams to update and manage content with ease. Training sessions and documentation equipped internal teams to manage the sites independently post-launch.
We continue to serve as a strategic digital partner through ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization. This long-term relationship allows IDSA, HIVMA, and the IDSA Foundation to focus on what they do best—advancing research, policy, and care—while BlueBolt ensures their digital foundation remains strong and future-ready.
