SRS Distribution needed a digital platform capable of uniting multiple brands under one parent company with a digitally cohesive global architecture. SRS turned to Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Digital Experience Platform Leader, Optimizely, as well as veteran software integration firm, BlueBolt, for their digital-first initaitives.

BlueBolt created a hierarchical architecture that enables SRS to bring all brands under one IT solution on the Optimizely platform.
Scaling for the Las Vegas Bowl
With a multi-year sponsorship of the Las Vegas Bowl in the Pac10 and SEC conferences, it was necessary for the site to automatically scale to handle all traffic after the big game.
SRS needed a robust digital experience platform capable of expanding with them as they continue growing their family of industry-leading roofing distributors. Optimizely was selected due to their continued leadership in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms. Optimizely’s capability to handle sizeable increases in traffic seamlessly also made it a strong contender as SRS needed a platform that could continue to perform well during the boost from their annual sponsorship of the Las Vegas Bowl. The fact that Optimizely also offers B2B Commerce and Optimization products for the company to grow into if desired was an added bonus.
The initial implementation project for SRS Distribution consisted of creating a hierarchical architecture, forming a global structure each brand in the SRS family could utilize as a standard format, while retaining their own unique brand assets. The project included launching websites for SRS Distribution, Builder Supply Logistics and Top Shield Products. Each of these informational websites included the option to display a catalog for customers to research products online before speaking with their designated customer service representative.
Launching SRS Distribution, Builder Supply Logistics and Top Shield Products on the Optimizely DXP platform allowed the SRS family of brands to expand their digital-first approach across their business units. Thanks to autoscaling, their websites successfully handled the additional traffic from the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl exposure. The SRS Family of brands continues to grow their footprint year over year.
