Under the umbrella of Spinrite, Yarnspirations serves as the consumer-facing brand of their inspiration-driven craft business, selling a breadth of craft products from crochet to embroidery.
Their keen ability to foster a community that engages its members through stitch clubs, videos and education programs, is their unique selling proposition. They celebrate their community of crafters. This competitive advantage has allowed them to dominate in both the US and Canadian markets, and their mission is to be the largest inspiration-driven craft business in the world.
Spinrite came to BlueBolt with the intent to migrate from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus to due to its unparalleled flexibility and scalability. Additionally, they needed assistance with their data structure to improve their SEO traffic outcomes. Each week, they continue to see improvements including the following stats:
Traffic increase six weeks post launch
Session increase following launch
Engagement increase in the first month following launch
By the time BlueBolt came into the project, merchandising recommended products, patterns, and content on PDPs and other pages was manual, which was cumbersome and required additional resources.
Spinrite needed advanced features for inventory management, order processing, and customer support. Shopify Plus enabled Spinrite to streamline operations and deliver seamless shopping experiences to their customers.
Spinrite’s past sitemap and URL structure needed to be restructured in order to meet modern day SEO best practices.
With robust integrations with third party apps, Shopify provided multitudes to choose from: Klavyo for marketing, Salisfy for PIM, and Feedonomics for dispersing content across channels, to name a few.
Spinrite came to BlueBolt with their designs pre-set, expecting primarily a “lift and shift” to Shopify Plus. During the project, it became apparent that there were problems with how URLs had been structured in the past, leading to a lot of SEO work. In coordination with Spinrite’s SEO consultant, BlueBolt worked tirelessly to ensure the best possible SEO and traffic outcomes post launch.
Embracing Shopify Plus has not only transformed their present ecommerce operations but also provided a clear vision of a future marked by continual growth, enhanced customer experiences, and seamless scalability.

Together, the BlueBolt and Spinrite team worked feverishly to ensure the entire project was completed on time and on budget. We are proud that the new Yarnspirations ecommerce store has recovered from the post launch SEO dip and has continued to increase in stats week after week. So far, traffic is up 10% at six weeks post launch, Engaged Sessions are up 20% and User Engagement is up 10%. Yarnspirations can now adapt to evolving market trends and customer demands.
